
Georgia has reported 15,762 new Covid-19 cases, which is a record high figure since the beginning of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, 5,160 people have recovered from coronavirus and 42 have died in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days increased to 14.15%.
Overall 87,609 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia.

A total of 74,200 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 51,865 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 22,335 were PCR tests.
1,075,154 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 972,745 of 1,075,154 patients have recovered, while 14,774 have died from the virus.
Overall, 1,607 cases of the Omicron variant have been confirmed in the country as of January 25.

Adjara - 1,608 cases
Imereti - 1,907 cases
Kvemo Kartli - 727 cases
Shida Kartli - 794 cases
Guria - 290 cases
Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 721 cases
Kakheti - 626 cases
Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 376 cases
Samtskhe-Javakheti - 282 cases
Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 74 cases

A total of 4,595 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 963 patients are in critical condition out of which 283 are on artificial ventilation.

Overall, 1,322,175 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,210,361 people have been fully vaccinated amounting to 42.1% of the country’s adult population.
