UAE to approve visa-free travel for Georgian citizens

The United Arab Emirates has decided to establish visa-free travel for Georgian citizens following talks with Georgia, the Embassy of Georgia to the country announced on Monday.

The embassy called the move “another clear indicator of the positive dynamics of the development of bilateral relations” between the countries, adding it would announce the specific date of visa-free travel coming into force after the formalities related to the decision are completed.

As of today, only the holders of Georgian diplomatic and service passports enjoy visa-free travel to the UAE.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1992.
