Passenger traffic up 121% y/y at Tbilisi Airport, 35.37% at Batumi Airport

Tbilisi International Airport in the Georgian capital served 1,515,988 passengers in the first seven months of 2022, while the number stood at 313,036 for Batumi International Airport in the country's Black Sea city, TAV Georgia, the operator of the two facilities, announced on Wednesday.

In the reporting period, the number of passengers increased by 121.56 percent year-on-year for Tbilisi Airport, while the airport in Batumi saw a 35.37 percent increase in its passenger flow, the company said.

Thirty-five airlines are operating flights from Tbilisi International Airport to 38 destinations, while 21 airlines are connecting passengers between Batumi and 17 destinations during the current summer season.
