Tourism attractions and potential of Georgia’s Black Sea region of Adjara has been promoted at 16 international tourism exhibitions this year alone, the region's Department of Tourism and Resorts said on Tuesday.
The Department hosted showcases of the region at exhibitions in Vienna and Prague, the national body said, adding interest towards Adjara and Georgia had been "high" among visitors.
It also noted promotions had been held in Austria and the Czech Republic for the first time this year, with the Adjara stand at the Holiday World and Region World 2023 exhibition in Prague awarded the title of the Most Impressive Exposition.
Georgian representations also met tourist associations, agencies, advertising companies and media as part of the effort to showcase the region.
